The Miami Hurricanes continued their strong run in the past month with a 72-50 victory at Central Florida Tuesday night.
Miami was led by guard Durand Scott, who scored 17 points and totaled four assists. Center Reggie Johnson scored 16 points while pulling down 13 rebounds. Shane Larkin scored 11 points while Kenny Kadji totaled 10 points.
Miami (7-1) has now won six straight games in commanding fashion after falling to FGCU in their second game of the season. During their current streak, Miami has won their games by an average of 17 points.
Against UCF, the Hurricanes controlled the game from the tip as they jumped out to a quick 19-5 early lead and never looked back as the Knights never challenged Miami's lead.
Next up for the Hurricanes is a trip to Hawaii to participate in the Diamond Head Classic. Miami will take on Hawaii in their opening game of the tournament Sunday at 12:30 AM. The game will be televised on ESPNU.
