CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Miami Hurricanes moved up to No. 3 in this week’s AP Poll, their highest ranking ever.
Miami (19-3, 10-0), which defeated Boston College 72-50 and North Carolina 87-61 last week, has won 11 consecutive games and leads the ACC.
Indiana (21-3) is ranked No. 1 with 1,559 points, 26 first-place votes followed by Duke (21-2) with 1,515 points, 20 first-place votes, and Miami with 1,499 points and 17 first-place votes.
Miami beat Duke 90-63 on Jan. 23 in Coral Gables. The two teams will square off again on March 2 in Durham.
The Hurricanes tied their highest ranking ever last week moving up from No. 14 to No. 8. Miami entered the polls for the first time in three years at No. 25 on Jan. 21.
Miami is ranked fourth in the USA Today coaches' poll with five first-place votes.
They’ll look to continue their success on Wednesday at Florida State (13-10, 5-5).
