Will Dewey ever play QB at Miami?

We'll find out with his & Olsen's competition in the spring of 2014.

IMO, he takes over after Morris leaves, jumping Ryan Williams. This is a guess, nothing more. I'm going with this prediction because Dewey is a precise field general. He was coached by a former Heisman winner in Detmer, played some tough competition in Texas HS ball. Was #7 pro style QB last year. I just love his film and think his ceiling is higher than Willams. Crow, he has cement for feet. Until that is addressed, no way Fisch can use him in his scheme.

I like both players which one has higher ceiling? Dewey or Olsen

Well it hurt Olsen some this season by getting hurt-would have loved him to had his whole SR season under his belt but, the kid has been groomed for this his whole life & if he comes in, get's the RS I wouldn't be surprised if he don't make a strong run at QB as a RS Fresh. Dorsey was our man as a RS Fresh & didn't have the strong arm that a lot of the kid's today but, he was such a good decision maker & keeping that OL strong with our run game, I really could see this kid really compete coming out of his RS. Like I said in another thread-on the skill pos.'s these days-kid's are so much more equipped coming into college these day's to play as fresh more so than in the past 10 years. I mean most elite talent makes these 7 on 7's from coast to coast playing with the best & against the best out there so-it just gives these kid's that extra work with big time coaches & going against top talent at these 7 on 7's. RW will have 1 more year when SM is gone so-with being in the system & making smart decisions is what could give him the edge if he's still here & that goes for Dewey & Crow too. Possibly RW get's his 1 season & our young Jedi OLsen will def. be ready if it plays out like that to lead us for a full solid 3 years & that's if he don't win out as a RS fresh. We'll just have to wait & see on the evaluations this spring coming out on Crow & Dewey & if either will have what it takes to knock RW out of a starting spot as a SR. I really don't see RW transferring again but I do on either Crow or Dewey-whichever one finds themself buried as OLsen will be brought along by the staff & being groomed while he is doing his RS. If I had to say or pick 1 that would transfer out I would go with Crow now, that's just purely on opinion , that's why we have to pay close attention to how they evaluate these 2 {Crow & Dewey} coming out in the spring. Which one looks further along & would be the most capable of getting it done when called upon.

I seriously doubt Williams ever wins the QB position battle outright. We'll. Go Morris, Dewey, Olsen.

Olsen has serious talent and he'll probably (and wisely) get a redshirt for Morris' senior year and he'll compete for the job after he's gone. Maybe Dewey OR Williams will succeed Morris, but going into Olsen's sophomore year I fully expect him to have the job. I like his poise and his ability under center. He might have an easy transition into the offense as well if Duke stays all 4 years, that'll help him beyond imagination.
